The combination of geranium and Texas cedar in the same
fragrance evokes the freshness and impetuosity of the harmattan. This olfactory
structure rests on a base of supple leather, reminiscent of the tanneries of
North Africa.
Here I wanted to work on the infinity of the desert and the
complexity of this wind that blows both hot and cold, in the image of shadow
and light that are juxtaposed dune by dune. The cold breeze of the harmattan
and the shadow of the dunes are reflected in the geranium leaves, contrasting
with the more structured cedar leaves to bring out the texture of the grain.
I've translated the warm breeze of the harmattan and the light reflected from
the dunes into the masterful depth of supple leather, adding density and
mystery to the fragrance.
